# 196 tools, and you never type one of their names.

Bond is an AI Discord bot that sets up and runs your server from plain English. You say what you want in a sentence and Bond picks the tools the job needs. It checks your own Discord permissions first, and asks before anything in your server changes.

## 18 categories

Every one is on the free tier.

- [Core](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/core) (6 tools): What Bond can always do: ask you a question, pick up the tools a job needs, and remember the things about your server you should not have to repeat.
- [Channels & categories](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/channels) (15 tools): Create, rename, move, lock and delete channels and categories in bulk. Restructure an entire server from one sentence instead of clicking through Discord's settings for an hour.
- [Roles & permissions](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/roles-permissions) (16 tools): Create roles, set colours and hierarchy, and grant or revoke permissions. Bond checks your own permissions and role position before it touches anything.
- [Messages](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/messages) (25 tools): Send, edit, pin, search and bulk-delete messages, build embeds and run polls, in any channel Bond can see.
- [Members](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/members) (7 tools): Look up members, assign and remove roles, manage nicknames, and act on groups of people at once.
- [Moderation](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/moderation) (10 tools): Timeouts, kicks, bans and bulk cleanup, gated behind your real Discord moderation permissions and role hierarchy.
- [Threads & forums](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/threads) (9 tools): Open, archive, lock and manage threads and forum posts, including bulk tidying of stale threads.
- [Emoji, stickers & soundboard](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/expressions) (12 tools): Upload, rename and remove custom emoji, stickers and soundboard sounds without leaving chat.
- [Webhooks & integrations](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/integrations) (11 tools): Create and manage webhooks, invites and integrations, and wire Bond into the things your server already uses.
- [Scheduled events](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/events) (5 tools): Create and manage Discord scheduled events for community nights, streams and game sessions, and keep them in sync when plans change.
- [Automations & flows](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/automation) (11 tools): Things that run without you: welcome messages, reaction roles, scheduled announcements, recurring reports. You describe the rule in a sentence instead of wiring it up in a flowchart builder.
- [Custom slash commands](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/custom-commands) (6 tools): Ask for a command and Bond builds a real Discord slash command, with typed arguments, fixed choices and per-role access, registered in your server.
- [Server settings](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/server-config) (23 tools): Server name, icon, banner, verification level, AutoMod rules, system channels and the rest of the settings buried in Server Settings.
- [Data & storage](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/data-store) (13 tools): Persistent per-server storage so leaderboards, economies, warning counts and pet games keep their state between runs.
- [Voice](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/voice) (10 tools): Move people between voice channels, mute or disconnect them, and set up new voice spaces.
- [Bulk operations](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/bulk) (3 tools): Create, edit or delete many channels, roles or messages in one planned manifest. You approve the batch once instead of confirming every item, and a delete still names every target it is about to remove.
- [Images & cards](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/images) (7 tools): Welcome cards, rank cards, leaderboards and banners drawn as pictures, plus images the server saves to reuse. A picture Bond generates with an AI image model while it works is charged to your token allowance.
- [Plugins](https://www.bondbot.gg/tools/plugins) (7 tools): Finished features you install in one step: tickets, verification, a welcome message and a role picker. You pick the settings, change them later, and can hand a plugin over as ordinary flows and commands to edit.

## Three sentences, and the tools behind them.

- "@Bond set up a study server with a voice room" uses `bulk_create_channels`
- "@Bond give mods access to every channel except #staff" uses `apply_channel_access_policy`
- "@Bond make a /ticket command that opens a private channel" uses `create_custom_command`

## Questions people ask about the tools

### Do I have to give Bond Administrator?

No. Every tool maps to the one Discord permission that action actually needs: Manage Channels to create a channel, Ban Members to ban someone. Bond also checks your own permissions before it runs anything, so it will not do something on your behalf that you could not do yourself.

### Can Bond change my server without asking?

No. Anything that changes the server asks you to confirm first, and you can allow it once, allow it always, or deny it. Only read-only tools run without a prompt: listing channels, fetching a message, looking up a role.

### Can Bond read my members' messages?

Bond only receives the content of messages that mention it; Discord withholds the rest. When you ask it to summarise or clean up a channel it reads that channel's recent history through Discord's API, and read-only results are filtered to the channels you can see yourself.

### Do I need to learn any commands?

No. You never call these 196 tools by name. You mention @Bond and describe what you want in a sentence, and it works out which tools to use. There are a handful of slash commands for account and permission management, and /help lists them.

### Is Bond free?

Free to start, with no card. Every tool on this page works on the free tier, which is 600K tokens a week on Light. Paid plans start at $7.99 a month and add Ultra, which Bond uses for the longer jobs. The pricing page has the full breakdown.
