# Audit your server's roles and settings

Ask who can do what and what changed recently, instead of clicking through every role and reading the audit log yourself.

Categories: Server settings, Roles & permissions, Members.

## The request

"@Bond Which roles can ban or kick, and what changed in the audit log this week?"

## What Bond does after the first message

- Get detailed information about the server: branding, membership, channels, features and every editable setting. (`get_server_info`)
- Get the current date and time in any timezone. (`get_current_time`)
- Edit the Discord server's branding, channels, notification defaults, content filter, locale, and boost progress bar. (`edit_server`)
- Fetch recent audit log entries - kicks, bans, channel and role changes, other administrative actions - newest first. (`get_audit_log`)
- Set the Discord server's verification level, which gates what a member must satisfy before they can send messages. (`set_verification_level`)
- Enable or pause every server invite at once; while paused no new member can join through any invite link. (`toggle_invites`)
- List all roles in the Discord server, sorted by position (highest position = most authority). (`list_roles`)
- Look up one role by ID or exact name, even one above Bond's own roles, and whether Bond can manage it. (`get_role`)
- Create a role with permissions, display settings, icon or Unicode emoji, and a solid, gradient or holographic color. (`create_role`)
- Delete a role from the Discord server, removing it from every member who has it. (`delete_role`)
- Assign one role to one member, identified by ID or by name. (`assign_role`)
- Remove one role from one member, identified by ID or by name. (`remove_role`)
- List members in the Discord server, filtered by roles, by a username/display-name search, or not at all. (`list_members`)
- Set or remove a member's server nickname, which overrides their global display name here. (`set_nickname`)
- Get one member's profile: display name, avatar, roles, join and account-creation dates, timeout state, boost status, key permissions and whether Bond can moderate them. (`get_member_info`)
- Check one member's effective permissions in one channel, after role and member overwrites, the way Discord itself computes them. (`check_member_permissions`)
- Let one member skip the server's verification requirements, or take that exception away again. (`set_member_flags`)
- Remove members who have been inactive for a number of days. (`prune_members`)

## More in set up and restructure

- [Set up a whole Discord server](https://www.bondbot.gg/use-cases/set-up-a-server): Describe the server you want and Bond builds the categories, channels, roles and permissions to match, in one pass.
- [Reorganise channels and categories](https://www.bondbot.gg/use-cases/organise-channels): Rename, regroup and reorder a messy channel list in one pass, including moving whole sets of channels under new categories.
- [Make a private or staff-only channel](https://www.bondbot.gg/use-cases/private-channels): Create a channel only certain roles can see, without opening the permissions tab and toggling twenty overwrites by hand.
- [Set up an announcement channel](https://www.bondbot.gg/use-cases/announcement-channel): A channel only staff can post in, published so other servers can follow it, with the posts pinned where people will find them.
- [Manage voice channels and who is in them](https://www.bondbot.gg/use-cases/voice-channel-management): Move people between voice channels, set a channel's status, disconnect someone, and run stages, without dragging names around.
