# Schedule recurring announcements

Post on a schedule in any timezone, without keeping a tab open. Weekly summaries, daily reminders, event pings.

Categories: Automations & flows, Messages, Scheduled events.

## The request

"@Bond Post the weekly event schedule in #announcements every Monday at 9am IST"

## What Bond does after the first message

- Create an automation that runs on an event or a schedule, saved only after a dry run passes. (`create_flow`)
- Update an existing automation flow: replace its code, or change its description or enabled state. (`update_flow`)
- List every automation in this server with its trigger, status, summary and how its last run went. (`list_flows`)
- Get one automation in full: what it does, what it is allowed to touch, and how its last few runs went. (`get_flow`)
- Delete an automation flow from this Discord server permanently; it stops running immediately and there is no undo. (`delete_flow`)
- Enable or disable an automation flow, keeping its configuration. (`toggle_flow`)
- Send a message to a channel or thread, optionally with components (buttons, select menus, modals) that make it an interactive panel members click. (`send_message`)
- Edit a message the bot already sent: its text, embeds, attachments or interactive components. (`edit_message`)
- Toggle whether Discord displays embeds and link previews on an existing message. (`suppress_message_embeds`)
- Forward an existing Discord message into another text-based channel. (`forward_message`)
- Delete one message from a Discord channel, given the channel and message ID. (`delete_message`)
- Delete many messages at once from a Discord channel (purge), far faster than one at a time. (`bulk_delete_messages`)
- List the server's scheduled events with their names, descriptions, times, location, recurrence and how many people are interested. (`list_scheduled_events`)
- Get the users who marked interest in a scheduled event, with their member details and the event's total interested count. (`get_event_attendees`)
- Create a scheduled event in a voice channel, a stage channel, or at an external location. (`create_scheduled_event`)
- Edit an existing scheduled event: its name, description, times, location, cover image, recurrence, or status. (`edit_scheduled_event`)
- Delete a scheduled event, notifying interested members that it is cancelled. (`delete_scheduled_event`)

## More in events and scheduling

- [Run scheduled events](https://www.bondbot.gg/use-cases/scheduled-events): Create Discord events, announce them, and keep them in sync when plans change.
- [Schedule a message for later](https://www.bondbot.gg/use-cases/schedule-a-message): Write the message now, pick the date and time, and it posts itself once, in your timezone, or on a schedule that repeats.
- [Set reminders in Discord](https://www.bondbot.gg/use-cases/reminders): One-off reminders and recurring nudges, in your timezone, posted where the right people will see them.
- [Announce birthdays and anniversaries](https://www.bondbot.gg/use-cases/birthday-announcements): Members save their date once, and the server says something on the day. Works the same for join anniversaries.
