Bond vs Sapphire
Sapphire is a free multi-purpose bot with moderation, auto moderation, logging, welcome messages and reaction roles, all configured on its dashboard. Bond works from a sentence in Discord and also builds the server itself: channels, roles and permissions.
We build Bond. Every price, limit and setup step below about Sapphire comes from its own public pages.

What each invite asks for.
Read from each bot's public invite link. Administrator lets a bot pass every channel permission you set, so it is marked on its own.
Its docs say Sapphire works without Administrator, with a higher risk of features failing on missing permissions.
docs.sapph.xyz/getting-started- Asked for
- Administrator
- Not asked for
Bond's invite is wide because its tools cover channels, roles, moderation, events and voice. It leaves out Administrator, so a channel that denies Bond's role still blocks it.
Setup, step by step.
Sapphire's steps are the ones in its own docs.
Sapphire
- 1Open the dashboard and log in with Discord.
- 2Pick your server, review the permissions and invite Sapphire.
- 3Move the Sapphire role above every role it should manage.
- 4Configure each module on the dashboard.
Bond
- 1Add Bond to your server.
- 2Mention @Bond and say what you want.
- 3Approve the changes it lists.
Building the server itself, run by Bond.
Sapphire runs the features it ships. Bond changes the server: it creates channels and roles, sets permissions and builds automations from what you ask, and it shows each change before it makes it. Bond's invite leaves out Administrator. Sapphire's asks for it.
@Bond Set up a study server: info category with rules and announcements only mods can post in, general and resources channels, a study voice room, and a private staff area.

Recorded 27 Sept 2026 on a test server · Light tier · 1 message · 84 seconds · 90K tokens
Recorded on a Bond test server on the Light tier, the tier every free plan runs on. Server, channel and member IDs are placeholders, the test bot is shown as Bond, and the steps where Bond loads its own tools or pages through a long result are left out. The test server has no plan limits, so the plan limits a step reports are left out.

Ready-made features Bond has no packaged version of. Some Bond can build as an automation. Some it cannot do at all.

- Twitch, YouTube and TikTok notifications, with stream messages that update live.sapph.xyz
- More than 10 auto moderation modules, and a case system for moderators.sapph.xyz
- A message editor for every message the bot sends.sapph.xyz
- Custom Branding: a bot with your own name, avatar, status and About Me, from €5 a month.sapph.xyz/custom-branding
And if you do switch, in three moves.
Both bots can run at once. There is no import step and nothing to migrate.
Add Bond alongside
Sapphire keeps doing exactly what it does today. Bond joins without touching a single existing setting.
Move one thing across
Pick the part you like least. Describe what it does to Bond, approve the changes, and watch it run for a week.
Turn the old one off
Only once the new one has run. Repeat for the next part, or stop here and keep both.
When to stay on Sapphire.
Stick with Sapphire if you want detailed logs and social notifications for free, set once on a dashboard.
- It is free, and you have not hit one of its limits.
- You want detailed logs of what happens on the server. Bond has no logging module.
- You want Twitch, YouTube or TikTok notifications.
- You want a bot with your own name and avatar today. Bond does not sell one.
It is good at free moderation, logging and welcome messages, and there is no prize for switching a tool you are happy with. Add Bond for the jobs Sapphire does not cover, and leave the rest where it is.
